this is cool, very cool. it'd be nice to see a lot of media outlets getting onboard with ideas like this, maybe a mix of stories on their front pages around 70% user-driven and 30% editor picked, with a new story box and one for rotating controversial headlines that still haven't gotten a certain threshold of viewership... hm.
